Fried Green Tomatoes (Widescreen Collector's Edition)

I'm really excited about finally watching this movie, because I have heard a lot of great things about the movie. I think it's going to be a feel-good movie, and I am hoping to be able to save it for a day when I come home from busy day at work or have had a bad day and I find this movie waiting for me in the mailbox.

After having watched the movie:
(Possible spoilers below)

Today was originally scheduled to be my last day working before I had a day off, but to take Monday and Tuesday off in order to work on the short film I did earlier in the week I had to pick up two shifts tomorrow. I'm absolutely exhausted. I would rather not have to work tomorrow because it's a Saturday and because I am going to be working for the next six days in a row. Oh, and they're all late shifts so I won't be able to catch any movies with friends unless I can talk them into playing hookie. I never would have guess that I would have come to feel so isolated by the 365 Movie Challenge. Anyway, it worked out perfect that I got to watch this movie after a long day at work.

I think I'm drawn to movies that have a narrator and are told the same way The Fall and Fried Green Tomatoes is because they remind me of listening to all of my Grandpa's stories as a little girl. I would beg him every change I got to tell me more stories. I thought he was the best story teller there ever was, and would listen to the same story repeatedly. Some of them I think I could recall from memory even today. As a general rule of thumb any movies with characters who are reading or sharing a story with the people in their world I will more than likely fall in love with.

Final thoughts: I liked this movie so much that I wanted to watch it almost immediately after watching it for the first time. I thought the story was amazing and I wouldn't hesitate recommending the movie to anyone.
